Pencil Tests
Annie's design proved to have more moving parts than initially thought. So it was important that her movement needed to be tested.
The shading, from the initial sketch of Annie, was used to keep this warm feeling throughout the animations. To achieve this effect, photoshop was used and fully utilized the video layers option and was animated using traditional methods.
The following were added in order:
Line art > Base Colors > Shadows on a multiply layer > Ambient Light on an Overlay Layer > Rim lights on a normal layer and Bloom on a color dodge layer
